Hong Kong Media Asia's big production 'Cha Ji Neui' (Lady Cop, Papa Crook) has officially changed the movie title to 'Daai Sau Cha', and has confirmed to hit the screens in the upcoming Mid Autumn festival. The movie is produced by golden crew consisting of Alan Mak, Felix Chong who produced classic work such as 'Infernal Affairs', 'Confession of Pain', 'Initial D', it also becomes the first work of Sammi Cheng since her return after taking a break in 2005, also the first production of Alan Mak and Felix Chong without collaboration of Andrew Lau. This film as compared to 'Infernal Affairs' is using a whole new approach to tell this police-bandit story. The story is about a high ranking police officer Szeto Mou Lin (by Sammi) who accepts a shocking kidnapping case. The big boss of the triad society, Fok Ceng Cung, the notorious figure for smuggling red oil between Mainland and Hong Kong, works together with her in desperate efforts to save his innocent child. Fok who loves his son deeply, at the same time suspects his relatives to be connected to the kidnapping trustingly befriends his sharp-tongue rival Mou Lin during the investigation.
'Daai Sau Cha' similar to 'Infernal Affairs'
'Infernal Affairs' is the miracle in the history of Hong Kong films, achieving a miraculous box office results during the low-time of Hong Kong films. Andrew Lau, Alan Mak and Felix Chong becomes the 'Heroic Triangle' of the city. It is said, 'Daai Sau Cha' begins from a kidnapping case, and tells a police-bandit story. Similar to the four successful appeals of 'Infernal Affairs', this movie is too a production of Alan Mak and Felix Chong, the same police-bandit storyline, the same triad society and authorities battle, the same crews. The only difference is that 'Infernal Affairs' is about the battle of two male, while 'Daai Sau Cha' is a male-female battle. The relationship of Sammi Cheng who plays police officer and triad society boss played by Eason Chan is still a mystery.
This film is revealed to be confirmed to hit the screens in the upcoming mid autumn festival for both Mainland and Hong Kong.
