So, of the many characters Michelle has portrayed, surely one of them is somewhat alike to her own personality - meaning when she reads the script she will probably have this feeling, "OMG, is this the second me I'm reading?"
Okay, perhaps nothing that near, but maybe something like, "Hmm, this person does remind me of myself..."
If you realize, I have omitted some roles like Cui Ung Ung / Ding Meng Chu, cause I'm 100% sure she's definitely not such kind of person - she's not the pampered type. Besides I think those characters are TOO lovey dovey to be Michelle! hehe... As for Hoi Lan in CA2, it's because the character is somewhat similar to Season that I've not included it.
Of course, smart characters like Mang Lai Kuan and Sheung Goon Hoi Tong will probably get most votes since its no secret that Michelle is intelligent in real life. What about her optimism? Her perspective of life? Which character actually portray most like our real-life Michelle?

As I've not watched Network Love Story / The Evil Butterfly, my vote may be a lil unjustified. But based on other series I've watched, I think Shang Guan Hai Tang is the one most alike to real-life Michelle. Be it in any aspect, I see a shadow of real-life Michelle in the character. Her intelligence & wisdom:Shang Guan Hai Tang is very intelligent, just like Michelle! But we all know Michelle is more than being smart, she's wise. Hai Tang definitely has this point too - judging from how she deals her unrecruited crush for Ya Peng and how she calms Piao Xu's jealousy, and then patiently guides Yi Dao with all the true concepts from turning evil. Her optimism:Eventhough Hai Tang underwent many obstacles and hardships, she is still optimistic. She constantly has hopes and aims she wants to achieve. Eg: When she marries Wan Shan Qian to save Yi Dao. She looks on the bright side that she can save Yi Dao, and not the painful side that she doesn't love Shan Qian. When Shan Qian complimented her as she walked out in her lady attire instead of her usual man suit, she also looks on the bright side that at least she gets to dress nicely as a lady now instead of a man, eventhough she feels the bitter that she's marrying him. Her plan:Michelle occurs to me as a person who knows exactly what she wants, she carefully plans out her career and such. Hai Tang is definitely one of such. Being 'Xuan Zi Di Yi Hao' with Xuan bringing the meaning of strategies, it is no wonder Hai Tang has everything planned out before she takes any action. Her love:Yi Dao and Hai Tang definitely share one of the most memorable and romantic on-screen love audience will always remember. But besides being the usual lovey dovey, it also includes sacrifice and courage. Hai Tang sacrificed being misunderstoond by Yi Dao when she accepted the marriage with Shan Qian, because like she said, she loves him more than he knows. But when she found out Yi Dao was ambushed, she risked her life to be with him, going against the person she would've sacrificed her future for, and that person is Shen Hou. She even agreed to marry the King in order to save Shen Hou, but the King is more rational than she is at that moment. And for Hai Tang to go against a person she respected and love so much like Shen Hou just goes to show how important love is to her. I know I've said Ung Ung is too lovey dovey for Michelle, then is this Hai Tang not? No - their concept of love is different, love is important to Hai Tang (and Michelle), but she doesn't take it like daily meal as Ung Ung does (to me Ung Ung seemed to have lived for love only.. haha). Hai Tang weighs her love importantly, but she needn't portray it all out, she knows and trusts her loved one will understand - which I believe is similar to Michelle. Alike but not the sameThey're alike but not the same, of course, Hai Tang is just a character. The difference I can point out is, Hai Tang doesn't have sense of security (in certain aspect), but Michelle has. Hai Tang is trapped in her past (childhood), and can't forget the experience. She needs to hide in a corner (like Ya Peng said) where no one can see her, and only she can see everyone that she will feel some sense of security. Michelle is NOT trapped in her past childhood. She has more optimism than Hai Tang does, she didn't feel her childhood was exceptionally hard. Other roles I've considered alike but didn't choose:Why I didn't choose Season?Michelle will not - (1) be so stupid like the Season in first episode to fall into the trap and pass the 'threatening' card to her client. (2) pull Charles back in the last episode (3) commit suicide (or even think of attempting it) - she loves life I considered her because of her delicate planning of everything - more than Hai Tang. Why I didn't choose Mang Lai Kuan?Sure, she's smart enough, but somehow I can't find her optimism and attitude towards love like the real-life Michelle. I know she always says "The boat will know the way when the time comes" when she meets with obstacle, but if you realize, she's not that optimistic when dealing with her love life. I considered her because of her intelligence, even more than Hai Tang.Wah, okay, that's my analysis. Haha Join me!

I think Zita from Triumph in the Skies, suits her real character in real life. 2nd Ho Hei & lastly, the intelligent Man Lai Guan from Eternal Happiness.

I think Zita from Triumph in the Skies, suits her real character in real life. 2nd Ho Hei & lastly, the intelligent Man Lai Guan from Eternal Happiness. I agree for Zita, but Zita does portray some weakness (when searching for her 'father') that I think Michelle doesn't have... Ho Hei too naive and innocent to be Michelle! haha Yes Lai Kuan is like Michelle, bet Michelle felt like it was playing herself when she acted that hehe.. I lvu the part wen Marco Polo gave the 'hard IQ' question in the contest, and Michelle immediately solved it (the one about dividing the coins... hehe

each of the character have some points that make up a real Michelle.....but the characters that have most of Michelle's trait....in ancient series, it would be Hai Tang....and modern series, i think Wai Man in NLS is....
i don't really remember much about Wai Man, but i remember that Wai Man is an independence girl who doesnt want to rely on her rich dad
as for Hai Tang, there's too much to talk about her but i guess Rain said it all already lol.....Hai Tang & Lai Kwan are both intelligent but Hai Tang seem to be more serious than Lai Kwan, however Hai Tang did have the fun side of her too....

Mang Lai Kuan - Eternal Happiness Sheung Goon Hoi Tong - World Finest Season - Central Affairs
These 3 characters are very similar to Michelle in real-life. However, I have to say Hai Tang is the closest among all 3. Why did I pick Hai Tang? It's obvious. Hai Tang is an intelligent, wise, gorgeous, optimistic, etc. character. Next is Season. Season is a very practical character. Season understands how the 'real world' works.
DEFINITELY NO!: Ho Hei - Street Fighters Yeung Wai Man - Network Love Story Rain - Golden Faith Lai Seng Nam - Lofty Waters Verdant Bow Zita - Triumph in the Skies Tung Ching - The Herbalish Manual
Michelle isn't the sissy, weak, etc. type.

aww...after reading all the comments. I assume, I must buy World's Finest, as it suits Michelle's character in real life the most.
Besides, doesn't Michelle act a villain role in Central Affairs?
