Michelle Ye who was shooting for a certain show for Hunan TV yesterday, was present with Tian Liang at Chime Long Entertainment World. This icon who was once a popular series queen who left TVB, has now become the new talent of the movie industry. Having 'married' to Hong Kong's Media Asia, Michele Ye has always been highly promoted by the company, not only working with reputable movie stars, but also working towards the international arena, becoming the rare successful female celebrities who transform from small screens to big screens. Recently, Michelle Ye renewed her contract with Hong Kong Media Asia at a high price. When accepting interviews with reporters, she said she will be putting more focus working on movies: "One, was the suggestion of my company to only focus in movies, secondly, I do love movies exceptionally more."
When discussed on movies she filmed, Michelle replied, "Company gave me lots of roles and space to perform, I've played comedic, literature arts, police-bandits, etc." Michelle Ye introduced 'Lady Cop, Papa Crook' as a police-bandit movie, also her first time appearing as a mafia boss' wife, who is pregnant. In this movie she collaborated with mafia boss who deals with illegal fuel business played by Eason Chan. Meanwhile, n 'Assassins', she plays a 'cool' role, 'Assassins' is a collaboration with Johnny To, Louis Koo as well as Richie Ren, a movie about an assassination organization, believed to bring quite a refreshed feeling to audience. At the moment, Michelle is busy filming another movie in Hog Kong, "This movie requires more brain power than physical strength, a lot on relationship and crying scenes, also another collaboration with Johnny To."
Among these movies, Michele has been working with few directors such as Johnny To, Alan Mak and Dante Lam, Michelle feels her collaboration with Johnny To was the most satisfying: "I love to act for Director To's movies, I like his intellectual and richly charismatic movies, the inner emotions of the roles are able to be dug out completely."
