Although I am more than thrilled to hear this news (as I am no fan of idol drama), I must admit that I too am overwhelmed with melancholy. Financial penalty for breach of contract would be the last of the worries I have for her, and I trust to be the last factor of consideration for this decision of hers. I can't help but worry about the outcome of yet another bold decision of Michelle. If she quits filming, the sole reason would only be because the script of the series is not good enough, as she had anticipated to be. The only other reason she would quit filming if it was not the issue of the script, would be her health problems. If this was the case, I would be very worried, because Michelle is known to continue filming with a stabbed thigh, blinded eye, twisted ankle and what not, so how bad a condition is she in now for her to quit filming for health? But let's not scare ourselves, she should be okay since she came to the chatroom twice (but to her dismay no one was there - or no one was paying attention to it anyway) - most probably to announce her quitting the series. From evaluation of the script before filming to filming it for a month and to now quitting it, we will never be aware of how much struggle or dilemma she has battled herself (or with her company / or the filming crews) with. She needs the courage to make this decision, to defy the filming crews, to deny her managing company, and most of all to defy at the same time obey herself - to defy her acceptance of this series, and to obey herself to quit it now. She needs the wisdom to rightly correct a wrong decision made, because she may ruin her career with one careless move. I know she will appear before us with that same smile and tell us, it’s no big deal to her, but I feel pained for whatever she took on her own. Michelle has always made bold decisions, decisions most people in her shoes will never make, but she always believes not only in walking her own path, but to walk it at her own grace and pace, and that is why I am proud of her, even more than ever...

When I heard about this announcement, my initial reaction was, wow did the series suck that much for her to actually quit? Then my immediate thoughts afterwards feared for the unwanted backlash towards Michelle. I pray that Mainland media will be more merciful than the Hong Kong media and won’t make Michelle into this snobby, demanding, contract breaking diva.
I also fear that her quitting this series will give her a bad reputation with other directors and producers and they might not want to cast her in future series/movies.
I hope the case isn’t as bad as I think it will be and hopefully there were valid reasons that both sides reached an agreement to. I’m just anxious to hear Michelle’s next move now.

I was thinking of the same thing too, about how media will make a big fuss out of this, they'll either make her become an outcast rejected by the crew, or a snob who quits filming as she like, a reject of other casts, etc...
