Michelle Ye, who made her way into the entertainment industry through her beauty pageant title, has always had continuous unfavorable news: love-life gossips, not getting along, socializing with the rich… In short, any news concerning her, eight to nine of ten will be rumors / gossips. Having battled countless of obstacles in the TV (industry), she finally made a move into the big screen movie industry, where her detrimental rumors annoyingly tag after. Being able to still stand in the entertainment circle even as to date, this just goes to prove that she definitely has her own talents.
Beijing lady, Yang Chihfei has never thought that she will become a star, but God wanted her to be the attention of the crowd. The luck has allowed her to travel the successful path directly. New to this industry, who her best friend is, who her competitor will be, these all are yet known. How will she deal with them then?

HIM: Why did you actually leave TVB back then? How do you compare filming series and movies?
Michelle: Actually, I have already been with the TV station (series) for quite some years, I would like to try something new, and my first intention was to film movies because I myself love watching movies. I think to be able to film movies is an honor. I think it is not easy to make a comparison between series and movies as they are of different medium. However, movie is still more conventional as compared to series, it also requires much more details. A movie filming only needs shooting of a few scenes within a day with the requirement from the scene setting and actors being much stricter. As opposed to this, series instead can film two episodes within a day, it is a much more flowing task, and also the expectation from actors is not as high as compared to of a movie. As an actress, the movie industry allows me much more space to express, bringing me bigger sense of satisfaction. I recall director Alan Mak telling me while we were filming 'Moonlight in Tokyo': "Michelle, you're unlike a series actress, most series actors are quite exaggerated with their actions and expressions, whereas your acting skills is really abstract, very 'Subtle', you don't even have the shadow of being a TV (series) actress." Also, filming movies can bring me the blissful feeling that series can't satisfy. Recalling the first day when I filmed for 'Moonlight in Tokyo', the director called to roll the machine, and when I heard the sound of the film rolling, I don't know why that my inner heart felt a sudden surge of emotions, these are all what series couldn't give me.

Full of anticipation for new film
HIM: It is indeed quite excellent to be able to hear the rolling of film on a chaotic street. Can you speak a little on your new movie? Is your collaboration with other actors smooth?
Michelle: The movie is entitled 'The Closet'. It is a film about an intriguing love ethics. In the movie, I play a woman who suffers from schizophrenia (mental problems / personality split). I act as a couple with Eddie Cheung who has violent attitude. I also have a daughter. Because I am often tortured by Eddie, I came to know Francis Ng, but later realized that he too actually has mental problems, thus leading to a complicated situation.
It is like a dream come true to be able to work with such experienced actors, they are very professional and acted with no flaws. This indeed has somewhat brought some pressure to a newbie like myself, luckily for me, we've ever worked together at the TV station, and have developed our tacit understandings, thus I tend to adapt faster.
As for the other newcomer Yang Chifei (Yang Yang), although we did not have many scenes together, but I feel that she is a very potential newcomer. Needless to say, she has a sweet and beautiful look, and she also has very well developed acting skills, I believe she will have a very bright prospect. It is my honor to be able to learn with her, and progress together with her, I anticipate the day for us to work together again.

HIM: It is indeed a group of very special combination. Do you feel that you are a sexy woman? Which part of your body do you think is most sexy?
Michelle: I'd rather be known for sensibility rather than sexiness, because I am indeed a very perceptual person. As for which part of my body is most sexy, I don't actually know, but friends have said that my collarbone is quite sexy, so I asked her: "Is it here? (pointing to her collarbone) This is the position I place the soap while I bath." I would've never imagined someone would think this will be my sexiest part of body.
***
HIM: Indeed, collarbones that can hold soap is really sexy. Do you mind when people who only focus on your rumors and overlook your real acting skills?
Michelle: Initially, I did mind a bit, as those are mostly made up stories, but after being with the TV station for some time, I've learnt how to concentrate on my jobs and not to bother with those gossips. The TV station is a very good place for learning, the arrangement of work is really packed, leaving me no extra time to ponder on those gossips. Also I understand that 'gossips will not influence the wise ones'. As long as I work hard and give good performance, people will then slowly concentrate on my performance instead.

True listening, true seeing, true feelings
HIM: Recently the TV is re-airing 'Golden Faith', we get to see you who has just entered the industry back then. For all these years, what have your life experienced?
Michelle: Indeed a lot has changed. Firstly, it will be my outer appearance. When I've just entered the industry, I came in with all my baby fat, looking just like any other common girl next door. I think I've become more mature now! If you ask me to act as young lass, I think I really can't achieve well. Besides that, my inner feeling also has changed much. When I first entered the industry, I depended merely on knowledge, never really thinking of developing my acting skills. After some time, I realized that I can't express some details if I merely depend on knowledge, therefore I began to use my heart to truly listen, truly see, and truly feel the details in life, and also studied others acting, and then began to feel what I couldn't feel last time. Now I give myself a motto – "True listening, true seeing, true feeling", and use routine life as my reference for acting.

HIM: Seeing you putting so much hard work and effort, even we feel extremely touched. What kind of criteria should your ideal lover have? Do you plan to get married?
Michelle: I think that the person should be a male, and also someone who is compatible with me, loves listening to music, watching movies, and most importantly he should love going to cinemas for movies, not someone who loves watching pirated cds.
***
HIM: Oh… (immediately hides the pirated DVDs nearby), then if you haven't entered this industry, what kind of profession will you be in?
Michelle: I should be doing some law related jobs, because I was taking Political Science while studying.
***
HIM: Really feel sorry (what a pity) for those buddies in law profession now. Lastly, do you feel that you're a successful celebrity?
Michelle: Of course I'm yet one, I think I have a lot of space for improvement for my acting skills, hopefully everyone can understand me better!
